Source of Inspiration

Brittney’s journey into dog training began during her time as a dog handler at a doggie daycare. While the daycare environment was fun and dynamic, it often led to behavior challenges that couldn’t be addressed within the setting. She likens it to a “nightclub for dogs”—great fun but sometimes chaotic! Brittney wanted to help improve behaviors that didn’t translate well outside of daycare, which inspired her to explore professional dog training. She transitioned into teaching group classes with a local company and fell in love with the profession. Seeing the joy on people’s faces as they discover their dog’s intelligence and potential continues to fuel her passion.

Professional Experience

Brittney received her training certification through Canine Coach, a highly regarded local training company, completing a three-month training program before leading classes on her own. Since entering the dog industry in 2016, she has gained diverse experience as a dog walker, pet sitter, dog bather, dog daycare handler, and kennel attendant. She combines insights from all these roles to customize her approach for each dog and owner. Brittney emphasizes meeting dogs where they are and building realistic paths forward to achieve training goals.

Unleashing Expertise

Brittney specializes in working with dog-reactive dogs, a group she believes is often misunderstood. She is passionate about helping these dogs build trust and neutrality in real-world situations. Her training approach often combines physical and mental stimulation, like introducing obedience training during walks, to create well-rounded dogs who can focus even amidst distractions. Brittney also enjoys teaching passive and active socialization, using mock and real scenarios to desensitize dogs and redirect their energy into positive or neutral activities. With a focus on reward, consistency, and fun, Brittney ensures training is an enjoyable experience for both dogs and their humans.

Future Forecast

In the next five years, Brittney envisions expanding her operations to include a larger, dedicated training space beyond her current home setup. She also hopes to grow her dog walking services to accommodate a larger client base. Her ultimate goal is to provide even more tailored support to dogs and their owners, helping them achieve lasting success together.
