Cyrus

Wag mates and David were phenomenal! David trained and loved my Doberman as if he were his own pup. David updated me on a daily basis with photos and
videos of my pup's progression throughout his stay with him. Taught myself and my husband
how to continue my pup's training at home. Provided me with homework to study for when my
pup came home and even spent as much time as we needed to go over everything my pup
learned so we could continue his training. I can't say enough fabulous things about David! I
highly recommend him as a trainer! Thank you again! The bond that David made with Cyrus

Jorah

I honestly cannot even express the level of satisfaction we had with Wag Mates Academy; their trainer Dyese in particular. We had a TERRIBLE experience with another dog training company so after that we were quite hesitant to try again but we knew having a Great Dane puppy that would need to be properly trained. So, we decided to move forward with a 4-week program at Wag Mates and we have been so happy with the result! Our pup Jorah is a changed boy. He listens immediately and his recall is soooo much better,(which was his biggest issue) not to mention his now beautiful leash walking. Dyese communicated with us every SINGLE day, sent pictures, sent us beautifully
filmed/edited videos of Jorah’s training, and sent us weekly reports on his weight, food intake, overall body assessment, behavior, etc. We even got to see videos of Jorah interacting with all the friends he made too which was such fun to watch!
We could tell from the videos sent that he was happy, having so much fun, and was well taken care of which is such a complete difference from the other training company first used. Jorah has a tendency to self-mutilate when in his cage (licks until he has open, bleeding hot spots) and Dyese was so so good at
keeping an eye on his raw areas to not allow him to infect or make them any
worse. She communicated with us about his licking and properly used his cone to halt the progression of any painful hotspots. She truly cared for Jorah, it was incredibly obvious and for that, I could not thank her enough! I am so impressed and recommend Wag Mates now to everyone! I wish I had done a little more research the first time we decided to send Jorah to training and found Wag Mates first so he wouldn’t have had to go through the traumatizing experience he did with the other company but I am so glad we crossed paths with them for the second and final try! If you’re looking for a trustworthy board and train, I highly recommend Wag Mates and Dyese for your dog’s training needs!! Thanks again for helping Jorah be the best boy he can be !!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Samatha was our little Rue’s trainer and she is amazing! We sent Rue off for a 3 week boot camp and she came back a completely
changed dog. We didn’t think it was possible. She’s an absolute joy to be around now. Highly recommend Wag Mates

Aston

Our 4-month-old Bernedoodle, Aston, needed help with separation anxiety, potty training, and self-control. We live in NJ, and after researching trainers, we found through Wag Mates- Max who turned out to be the BEST! Aston stayed with Max and his family for 4 weeks, and the transformation was remarkable. Max was incredibly transparent, providing updates twice a day, and kept us informed about Aston's progress and challenges. When Aston came home, we could see how attached he had become to Max, but he was also so excited to see us. The difference in his behavior was night and day—he’s now more relaxed, confident, and well-behaved. Max did an incredible job, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We’re definitely continuing training with him. Highly recommend!

Would like to let Wag Mates Academy and anyone looking for a dog
trainer know how thankful I am for them. I would highly recommend this organization based
on the sincere efforts they make to give each customer and their dog exactly what is
expected. Macey is a pleasant lady to deal with. Now as for the dog trainer, I can not say
enough of how great he is. He took in both of my German shepherds one being 5 years old
and the other being 1 1/2 years old for the task of giving me what I was looking for in
training. I can tell you now he is great. I'm extremely happy with both dogs. Now I have to work with both dogs daily to ractice the things the trainer taught me and them. It is
gratifying to see someone who truly loves what they do and does it well. I would definitely
trust Wag Mates Academy to train another dog for me in the future. Thank you so much for everything. Both dogs are doing well and adjusting to being home again.

Tyson

I cannot recommend Wag Mates Academy and their trainer, Luis, enough. Our 80 pound 1-year-old pup Tyson had serious issues with reactivity and loose leash walking. It was incredibly challenging to control his fear reactivity towards people and certain dogs.

Throughout the program, Luis kept us updated with daily pictures and videos of Tyson’s training sessions in various environments. Any concerns we had were promptly addressed, showing their dedication.

Not only did Wag Mates Academy address Tyson’s specific challenges, but they also taught us how to continue working with him at home. His expertise and dedication to Tyson’s progress were truly life-changing. We’ve even recommended him to several friends and even Tysons brother who will be doing the 4 week program as well.

Now, we are witnessing a more confident Tyson who walks past any dog or person without any issues. He no longer pulls on walks, as you can see we barley need to hold onto the leash in order for him to stay next to us and his overall behavior has improved significantly. Wag Mates Academy and their trainer, Luis, has made a remarkable difference in Tyson’s life, we’re grateful for the positive transformation.

Tasha

Tasha was so attached to her brother that training became so difficult but Ria took her into her own home and taught her to become independent. She taught her to walk on a leash correctly without reacting to other dogs. All barking and lunging is in the past. It is so enjoyable to take her out in public now. Thanks to Ria and Wag Mates Academy.

Gilmour

Wag Mates is not a cheap solution or a quick fix by any means. BUT it was worth every penny. Max drove from NJ to PA to pick up our Australian cattle dog, Gilmour, who was dealing with some mild aggression and impulsivity issues. "Gil" stayed with Max and his family for 4 weeks, during which time we received multiple pix/videos per day, showing and explaining what they were working on. The tips were a lot to absorb for non-trainers like ourselves, but once we really broke down the techniques they were working on, they were easy to adopt at home. We've noticed a positive change in Gil, which stems from the things he learned during his time with Max, as well as the training techniques we continued once he was returned to us. Highly recommend!

I appreciate wag mates and I recommend 1000%. The two weeks my baby was gone there was open communication EVERYDAY 🙌🏽. Tressie (the trainer) was amazing and after training was over I was able to still ask questions regarding the training to keep up with her good habits. She came back a new baby 😍. I would recommend this company to anyone.

My experience with wag mates and my trainer was nothing but exceptional from the start. I had the pleasure of working with their amazing trainer Tressie for my Doberman and I was instantly able to see an improvement in my baby’s behavior when she came back. Having such a high energy dog for the first time and not always being sure how to direct it can be frustrating at times but since working with wag mates and Tressie I’m definitely more confident in this process. She took the time to walk me through everything that needed to be done upon my dogs return home from and made sure I was confident before she left us, and also allowed me to reach out for my questions/concerns.
We 100% plan to continue on our training journey with Tressie and we’re excited and more than positive about the growth we know we’re going to see in our baby. Any future dogs I plan on getting will also hopefully have the opportunity to work with her too!

It was such a pleasure working with Luis. He had our pup for 3 weeks he always kept us updated and respond to us within minutes, which was great. He even helped me figure out some troubles I was having with my pups eating . My puppy came back as a brand new puppy . I couldn’t be happier.
