Our trainers are experienced in both positive reinforcement and balanced training methods.
Positive reinforcement focuses on rewarding the behaviors we want to see more of, building confidence and motivation in a fun and encouraging way. Balanced training also uses rewards as the foundation but, when needed, incorporates fair boundaries and clear communication tools to help guide dogs effectively. This combination allows us to adapt our approach to each dog’s unique temperament and learning style, always prioritizing safety, respect, and long-term success. We also respect each dog’s needs and each owner’s wishes, while being guided by our trainers’ expertise when it comes to implementing any type of tool.

Durand’s story

Durand's passion for dog training was instilled at a young age, following in the footsteps of his father's dedication to the sport. Growing up surrounded by dogs, he developed a deep admiration for their intelligence, loyalty, and companionship. Inspired by his lifelong exposure to dogs and other animals, Durand embarked on a professional career in dog training upon graduating high school in 2016. His commitment to understanding and working with dogs from various backgrounds and breeds has been a driving force throughout his journey.
Durand's extensive experience in working with dogs spans a wide range of breeds and situations, providing him with invaluable insights into canine behavior and training methods. He honed his skills through hands-on kennel experience, where he learned to manage packs of dogs, socialize them, and rehabilitate those with behavioral challenges.
His close collaboration with Atlanta Lab Rescue further enriched his background in behavioral adjustments and rehabilitation techniques. Specializing in off-leash obedience, Durand's primary focus lies in socialization and rehabilitation, where he excels in helping dogs overcome past traumas and develop healthy behaviors. In 2022,
he sought to formalize his expertise by obtaining certification from ABC College, further strengthening his skills and knowledge in the field of dog training.
Durand's expertise in dog training is rooted in his lifelong passion for working with dogs and his dedication to continuous learning and improvement. His hands-on experience in managing packs of dogs and rehabilitating those with behavioral issues has equipped him with a deep understanding of canine behavior and psychology. Durand's approach to training emphasizes building trust, confidence, and mutual respect between dogs and
their owners. His specialization in o^-leash obedience reflects his commitment to helping dogs achieve freedom and reliability in their commands, while his focus on socialization and rehabilitation underscores his dedication to improving the lives of dogs in need.
