Training Methods and how to apply them
Our trainers are experienced in both positive reinforcement and balanced training methods.
Positive reinforcement focuses on rewarding the behaviors we want to see more of, building confidence and motivation in a fun and encouraging way. Balanced training also uses rewards as the foundation but, when needed, incorporates fair boundaries and clear communication tools to help guide dogs effectively. This combination allows us to adapt our approach to each dog’s unique temperament and learning style, always prioritizing safety, respect, and long-term success. We also respect each dog’s needs and each owner’s wishes, while being guided by our trainers’ expertise when it comes to implementing any type of tool.

Kyiah’s story
Kyiah was inspired to become a dog trainer during her tenure at an animal shelter, where she witnessed perfectly good dogs being overlooked due to minor behavioral issues. This experience fueled her determination to bridge the gap between dogs and potential owners, motivating her to pursue a career in dog training.
With nearly nine years of experience in dog training, Kyiah has honed her skills across various disciplines, including pet obedience, protection training, nose work, and competition-style obedience. Her specialization lies in behavior modification, an area in which she has excelled through her work with multiple behaviorists and canine physical therapists. Kyiah's portfolio includes the successful training of several service dogs and therapy dogs, highlighting her commitment to enhancing the lives of both dogs and their owners. Currently, she is working towards becoming a Certified Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluator, further solidifying her expertise in canine training and behavior.
Kyiah's primary interest lies in behavior modification, where she finds immense satisfaction in witnessing the transformation of scared and fearful dogs into confident and carefree companions. Her dedication to this aspect of dog training reflects her passion for nurturing positive behavioral changes and fostering stronger bonds between dogs and their owners.
